What I won't buy.. Chai's story
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
-Helen Keller

This is Chai
and this is his story...

Chai has sustained irreparable damage to his tongue, due to a defect in a toy made by Four Paws.  His tongue had to be amputated.

While I try to write my blogs on a positive note, this is something that needs to be shared so that no other dog has to go thru the pain and suffering this toy has caused.
The uncaring way, the company Four Paws has responded to the owner of Chai is unacceptable.
As a pet owner/ animal lover, it is important to do business with companies that care about the products they create.  Lets face it, most of us are not rich and have the choice to pick and chose where we spend our dollars.   We are the care takers of our pets and it is up to us to keep them safe. This toy is definitely not safe according to Chai's story  I have thrown out all products made by Four Paws and will not ever buy another product from them. My personal choice..
You will make up your own mind about this product and the company that makes it after you read his story.

If you have the pimple ball with bell, made by Four Paws Inc. PLEASE read Chai's story.
It may save the life of your dog...

Book Review: Mutts Shelter Stories, "Love Guaranteed"
"A dog wags its tail with its heart." - Martin Buxbaum

Mutts Shelter Stories: Love. Guaranteed. (Hardcover)by Patrick McDonnell (Author)

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED,  this book!!
O.k., so I love all his art and the heart he has for the animals.
(Did I mention I Love Mooch & Earl, his characters:) YESH!!!!!

The best way for me to describe this book is:
Beautifully compiled, endearing, lighthearted, poignant, and best of all, easy to read.
Urging, but not preaching readers to adopt rescued dogs from shelters and rescues.
Great for adults & a wonderful teaching tool for children, to learn about animals in need, in a very gentle way.  Recommended for animal lovers of all ages.

People like Patrick make this world a better place, paying their successes forward, in so many ways.
Not only do I admire Patrick's talents & dedication to the cause, but the true emotions captured in this book about shelter animals, patiently awaiting a loving forever home.
Stories I know first hand, how rescued animals just speak with their eyes, wanting only their own humans to love unconditionally...
It is captured in it's true essence, stories that make your heart smile...
Claws up, for a pawfect book review!!!!

First Entry: Welcome to A Place To Bark Too!!!

WELCOME, To A Place To Bark Too !!!
I always have alot to talk about when it comes to art and animals, so it only seems fitting that I divide up the talk.

Since my other blog is about daily life surrounding my rescue, I thought it only fitting to create this blog, to talk about fantastic pet products that I have tried, animal artists I adore and interesting pet related books.

Over the past few years I have received hundreds of e-mails asking questions about rescue, how to get started, products I use and recommend, not to mention training questions and what books to buy.
This blog will address many things and I hope you will continue to read my other blog & join me here too!!

My Best To you..
